End of school year

Dear parents,

Well, we’ve reached the end of the school year and we certainly won’t forget this one!

Without a doubt, this has been a very challenging year for us all. However, I’m extremely proud of the way the whole of the Melin Gruffydd community has responded and has supported the school in its efforts this year. This is a special school and its strengths – ethos, a caring attitude, supporting each other, a happy positive environment – have ensured that we have coped well with the difficulties of the past few months. Thank you all for your support!

I have to give the school staff, every single one of them, a huge thank you for their dedication during the past three months! They have responded positively to all the challenges that have been thrown at them recently, being flexible in response to the challenges that have arisen and continually adapting the way that they have been working. What they have achieved during the lockdown period is immense. I wish them all a relaxing summer and a well-deserved break.

There will be challenges again next term and it will also be a time of uncertainty. We will communicate further information on September’s arrangements once they have finalised.

Keep safe!

Yours faithfully,

Mr Illtud James
(Headteacher)
