End of the school year

It’s the end of another busy and successful year for the school. All pupils have benefited greatly from the experiences and care that they have received – I’d like to thank all the staff for their fantastic and tireless work throughout the year. I wish them all a restful summer break!

Best wishes and a very happy retirement to Mrs Bethan Hayes, year 2 teacher, who has contributed a great deal to Melin Gruffydd’s many successes. Our pupils have benefited greatly as a result of her care and guidance.

Best wishes also to Miss Elise Gwilym in her new post in Ysgol y Wern and to Miss Taome Edwards who is starting her University course in September.

An enormous and sincere thanks to our hard-working Parents & Teachers’ Association. Thanks as well to everyone who supported our efforts to raise funds for the school during the year. Your support is much appreciated!

And finally, best wishes to our Year 6 ‘leavers’ who’ll be moving on to pastures new in September. Thanks for your outstanding contribution to the life and work of our very special school.

A happy Summer holiday to you all. The school will reopen to all pupils, apart from some of the new Meithrin children, on Wednesday, September 4th.

Mr. Illtud James
